Everyday when I drive by the fruit stand, or come in to start my shift, I am greeted by a bounty of colour. Flowers that reflect the excitement of summer at the stand surround the property, but these lovely beds are not there by accident. They are a product of some serious time and effort by our wonderful and very own Alisen Paynter.
Alisen helps out more at the stand then you think. She's always there in a pinch, like when we need emergency zucchini or change. She's a constant force behind our everyday happenings; without her Paynters Fruit Market would not look nearly as classy and would often be out of swiss chard and kale.
So, the next time you drive by the stand and wish your yard looked this nice remember this: We are lucky enough to have a full time gardener, so don't be so hard on yourself. And maybe give Alisen a high five for giving us the gift of her green thumb.
General life enthusiast and plant lover, Serina helps Jennay Oliver navigate through the winds of summer at the fruit stand. And sometimes she writes about it.
