Time to Chip it!
It might just so happen that we have a lot of kale right now......
SO in light of your fantastic new discovery that kale is good for you AND that you can buy it fresh and local, what are you going to do now? Well...contact us first over Facebook obviously...but next? MAKE SOME KALE CHIPS!
Firstly, if you are going to wash your kale be sure to do it plenty of time before your baking experience begins. Even if your kale is the slightest bit wet, your chips will have no crisp and your taste buds might be slightly disappointed. And no one wants to disappoint a good set of taste buds.
Secondly, gather the things that you need:
1) A bunch of Kale
2) Olive Oil
3) Salt, or any other kind of seasoning if you feel like getting fancy.
Set your oven to 350 C then slice your kale to remove main center stem. The bigger the pieces the better as the kale will shrink while in the oven. Toss the sliced kale with 2 tbsp's of olive oil, then add seasoning. Spread the chips evenly across baking sheets and stick those suckers in.
Leave the kale in for 12-15 mins, you may flip at the 10 min mark if you want evenly crisp kale. I am personally a little lazy and do not flip.
Let cool...despite how excited you may be. Patience is virtue. Once they've cooled, eat them up!!!
